As a person grow up the attraction between the opposite sex intensifies until they get the chance to try it out for real. This will also let parents to instill their family values in friendship, dating and love to their children. Parents should not be over reacting when their children starts dating, think about it this way, dating can help young people how to deal with other people, communicate, negotiate, make decisions, and learn to be assertive. Those are all necessary for growing up and when parents and children talk about it, that will help teen to mature.

After doing the serious talk about dating, parents should be able to set their authority over their children and set rules for them to have limitations when dating. You will need to set rules that are appropriate for your child’s age and maturity level. These rules will change as your child grows up and as he handles different dating situations and you will also be able to help them to make their own decisions and eventually be independent.
